Proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that I am still a big kid at heart, I caved in a picked up this awesome 12″ Iron Man figure today. The chest and hands light up and he talks, but it doesn’t sound like they got RDJ to voice the doll. It even shoots from its hands and makes rocket sounds when you pose the feet in a “take off position”.

Why the hell didn’t they make stuff like this when I would actually play with it?

I’m sad to see that the Iron Man video game, however, is not doing as well as the toys seem to be. I’ve played the Xbox 360 demo and it seemed ok, just not $60 ok. I’ll probably grab it when it goes down in price a little bit.

In comic related news, I’m getting close to printing up a new shirt design or two. If you want to take a look at the designs that have been kicked around, visit the forums and they’re all posted in one thread. Right now I’m probably going with the Blarney’s design first followed by the Vlad design shortly thereafter.

I’ve got some other Asylumantics projects in the works, but I don’t want to show my hand just yet on those. Stay tuned…

It appears that a group of people have collected the artwork of several artists without their permission, put it in a book and are charging $100 a pop. Attempts to contact these vultures has led to dead ends as (surprise, surprise) the contact information in the book seems to be fake.

Since the artist doesn’t have the financial means to pursue this (international copyright lawsuits = $$$), he’s asking that anyone with a blog just spread the word and if you see this sitting in a shop, let them know what the book is and ask them to pull it from their shelves.

I’m looking at printing some more shirts in the near future and I’ve created a thread to showcase some of the ideas I’ve been tossing around. I’d love to hear what you guys think about them in this message board thread.

After a ridiculous ordeal, I’ve finally received more copies of The Phantom Musicbox so be sure to grab your copy. The title is a completely new story that will not be published online so if you want it, you’ve got to grab it in dead tree form.

Finally, I need to keep a promise to a reader who contacted me earlier with some words of encouragement. Hushicho Pro Studio creates a couple of comics (Midnight Down and Incubus Tales) that feature some nice line art along with a portfolio of supporting art as well. I promised Hushicho that I’d drop a link so…here it is! ** Just a word of warning: These comics feature some adult themes (nudity, etc). **

Its been long overdue but I’ve finally gotten around to posting a page to feature all of the great guest comics I’ve received over the years for the strip.  A lot of great artists have taken time to provide these comics and while I can’t feature them in the main rotation, I hope this “shrine” will expose people to them and maybe even encourage you to make a guest strip of your own.
